Regional differences highlight varying challenges and successes. The activist court has significantly reduced the EPA’s ability to limit pollution in our air and water, emissions, and greenhouse gases. The decision has far wider implications than just climate change. Earlier this month, nine justices handed down a decision upending the landmark Chevron Deference, which has stood for 40 years. This will limit the EPA’s ability to enforce and regulate greenhouse gas emissions and pollution, and represents a potential setback for climate regulation in the US.
