💻 🌎 CLIMATE SKILLING NEEDS UNLIMITED ACCESS Voiz Academy is excited to make two big announcements, one tech-related, and one an exciting collaboration with Net Impact, the leading business impact organization globally. Both advance our urgent mission of training the workforce in climate skills! 💼 🌱 🤖 Tech first. After months of work by our content, design, and dev teams, we’re excited to announce the launch of a new climate upskilling platform app! 💻 👀 We think of it as an “Alt-Climate MBA”. The app gives users unlimited access to explore and certify in, the most in-demand climate business roles. 🔎 “Explore” because not everyone knows what role they want, and it’s hard to find out one cohort or class at a time. 🏅 “Certify” because in a competitive climate job market, it pays to prove you have real-world “day 1" skills for the job you’re applying to. Central to the app is simulations-based, role-specific career navigation and upskilling. It offers 30 real-world simulations that ask you to adopt the role you're preparing for and complete a project in that role. 💼 🌱 Many of our simulations closely mirror cases that our alumni have been assigned during the interview process — so on top of everything they are interview prep. ✍ The four current roles are: Sustainability Analyst, Decarbonization Analyst, Climate Consultant, and ESG Analyst. Renewables Analyst and others coming soon, as is a full suite of career navigation videos and projects (our Design your Climate Career offering). 🤝 On to the Net Impact collaboration, which we’re thrilled about. 5 steps to develop a Net Zero strategy 🌎 🌱 Businesses face the significant challenge of aligning with global climate goals, necessitating a clear and effective strategy for achieving net zero emissions. The process begins with a thorough assessment of the existing carbon footprint and climate-related risks. Modifications to workplace practices are critical to ensure alignment with net zero objectives. 🔎 Setting precise ambitions and measurable targets is the next step, alongside securing the necessary capital and investments. It is imperative for companies to establish near-term science-based targets that significantly reduce direct and indirect value-chain emissions as a priority. This approach is recognized as the most effective, scientifically-sound method to limit global temperature increases. 🎯 The actual roll-out of key initiatives tailored to meet these targets involves meticulous planning and management. This ensures that each initiative is effectively contributing towards the set goals without causing disruptions. Companies must also set long-term science-based targets to drastically cut emissions, aiming for a reduction of usually more than 90%. 📈 Ongoing monitoring and adjustments are required to maintain the course toward net zero.
