Special thanks to the Event Team at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland for providing our students with a first class tour on Day 1 of the 5th Annual Sport Management Summer Institute at Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University. Thanks to Harold Davis, Q and Jenna Miller, our students were provided a firsthand look at the renovation taking place inside the Convention Center, as well as the operational details of the 2024 Pan American Masters Games, which included competition for Badminton rolling right into competition for Volleyball. Included in the tour was a look at the farm located outside, just below the ballroom windows. On our walk back to Cleveland State University, we took a look at the renovation work taking place at Cleveland Public Square, and caught a final glimpse of filming for the Superman movie! Very busy day for these students!

Destination Cleveland, Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the city of Cleveland, sixteen of our hotel partners, and other partners are a mere eighteen days from welcoming ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership to The Land for their 2024 Annual Meeting & Exhibition. What has been an almost five year journey has led us to one of the most anticipated weeks in the history of our city for our hospitality community, and the reach goes much farther than those mentioned. One of the advantages of working with our city to bring conventions to Cleveland are the leaders and team members at our hotels. We are a tight nit community and of course their is competition within the hotels, and there is also a sincere comradery, and a will to win for our city for those that give us the opportunity to bid on their conventions and group business. The Destination Cleveland team has been working alongside our sixteen downtowns hotels being used by ASAE: The Center for Association Leadership for their annual meeting & exhibition, and we all can't wait to welcome the "Super Bowl of Meetings" to The Land soon!
