Congratulations to Marina Hagievska, PCNA (patient care nurse assistant) in Mercy Hospital's Rehabilitation Center, for receiving our hospital's most recent Emerald Award.
Marina was nominated by Rachel Laskey, assistant nurse manager for our Rehabilitation Center. “She is an excellent PCNA and always goes out of her way to meet all of a patient’s needs,” explains Rachel. “She is very good at redirecting and relating to people.”
Ann Almasy, RN, BSN, CRRN, nursing manager of Mercy Hospital's Rehabilitation Center and Clinic Decision Unit (CDU), echoes the same sentiments, "Marina is one of the hardest working PCNA's that I have ever worked with. She takes great pride in her role, which is evident through the kind and compassionate care she extends to all the patients." She adds that Marina treats all Rehab patients as if they are family and goes above and beyond to help them meet their individual goals and return home. "Marina is a valued and respected member of our Rehab team and are fortunate and blessed to have her!"
Cleveland Clinic's Emerald Award program celebrates nursing care gems on a quarterly basis. It was developed to recognize the dedication and professionalism of nursing support caregivers who exhibit empathy, respect, excellence, accountability, leadership, dedication and serve as role models.
