About us
The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to serving the needs of legal professionals here in Greater Cleveland. A voluntary membership organization, its members includes attorneys and judges, law students, paralegals, and other business professionals. Together, it serves as the collective voice of our legal profession, both bench and bar. It was formed in March 2008 by the consolidation of the Cleveland Bar and Cuyahoga County Bar Associations, which brought together more than 135 years of rich history. Its vision is to be the model of metropolitan bar member and community service and leadership, indispensable to the practice of law in Greater Cleveland. Our Bar Foundation is the charitable fundraising arm of the CMBA and raises critical dollars for the association’s nationally recognized "Lawyers Giving Back" public outreach and pro bono legal service programs.
