Cara Collective's offices and Cleanslate's operations are closed today as we commemorate Juneteenth Freedom Day. In honor of this day of liberation, we’re highlighting our core values of community and equity. While we have a long way to go to unravel systemic racism, we want to celebrate the progress achieved while continuing to reflect on the work that still needs to be done. We wish our entire community a safe and contemplative day. #LetsGetToWork #Juneteenth

This #FathersDay we're celebrating Marcus, whose grandkids motivated him to make a change in his life. With the help of the Cara Accelerated Program (CAP), and his dedicated work at Cleanslate, Marcus was able to celebrate graduation with his family. Read his transformative story on our blog. #MotivateMe #ThatsMyFriend https://lnkd.in/gGjUCKM6

Cleanslate Chicago reposted this
One of our highlights of 2024 has been welcoming 20 employment social enterprise leaders to Cleanslate Chicago and Cara Chicago for our 16th Workforce Development Solutions Lab. Members of the REDF community flew in from coast to coast to spend three jam-packed days learning, growing, and building community with us. With so much to cover, we made every minute count. Our days included everything from deep dives into Cara Collective's social enterprises to the infamous Solutions Salon, where we put our heads together to tackle a challenge each organization faces. We hope everyone went home feeling a sense of "We're in this work together. We got this." Thank you to Conservation Corps North Bay, Kitchens For Good, Osborne Association, Project Return Tennessee, and Uplift Northwest for making our time together so impactful. We are lucky to be building an #InclusiveEconomy with you. Come back and visit us soon! #ThatsMyFriend #WorkforceDevelopment #LetsGetToWork

Last week, we hosted the Cara Executive Council and Associate Board at Cleanslate! They met our staff, toured the building, and learned how they can further deepen their impact. We are so grateful to our dedicated auxiliary board members for continuing to support all aspects of our mission. #LetsGetToWork #ThatsMyFriend
