Recently, The Economist profiled solar's meteoric growth with a look toward our energy future. Solar's exponential rise is not hyperbole, as current world trends demonstrate its capacity doubling every three years and growing ten-fold per decade. "The next ten-fold increase will be equivalent to multiplying the world's entire fleet of nuclear reactors by eight in less than the time it typically takes to build a single one of them." The advancement of solar energy will not only provide clean energy but also affordable energy as economies of scale begin — and unlike past energy revolutions, sunlight is abundant and won't face the typical constraints of past energy revolutions, which could make most of the world energy-rich. Governor Peggy Flanagan's signing ceremony for the Minnesota Energy Infrastructure Permitting Act. The permitting reform bill will accelerate the development of critical energy infrastructure projects helping Minnesota achieve 100% carbon-free electricity by 2040.
