Learning to distinguish between different types of wood flooring is an essential property adjusting step that takes practice. Did you pass our identification quiz?   When it comes to most contemporary designs, the materials look & feel very similar but the sticker price varies widely! A misidentification could mean 💰 in under or overpayments on a claim. If the flooring is still intact during your inspection, ask the policyholder if they have a remnant you could look at - they may even still have the box with the manufacturer’s information listed on it.   TIP: Spend time in the flooring aisles of a home improvement store to see the differences in person! Compare the quality, look, & feel of the different varieties. Take some samples home to build your own field materials kit too 🛠   CATI has training opportunities that will help you expand your knowledge! This dynamic duo embarked on an exciting professional journey together - transitioning from backgrounds in retail management and hospitality to becoming accomplished adjusters! Yolanda and Jason's mutual desire for a career change led them to the world of adjusting, guided by the recommendation of a family friend who praised the reputable training offered by #CATI. Reflecting on their CATI experience, Yolanda and Jason shared: “Our first deployment came shortly after meeting the managers at the CATI Certified Adjuster Desk Adjuster classes. We were fortunate to get deployed to Jacksonville, Florida for five months, handling daily claims from the desk. This was a great first deployment that allowed us to work in the office with the provider as well as other adjusters, where we believe we made some lifelong friends and connections. We can't praise the CATI team enough for being patient teachers and doing an excellent job of pushing us to learn in a way that allowed us to retain the information. We were given hands-on practice scenarios and role-plays that were very realistic to what we experienced on deployment. The facilities and mockup houses make CATI an amazing training program which truly set us up for success.
