Teaching Thursday! 🚨🚓 Officer Chavez and Officer Nguyen from Alvarado PD stopped by Heritage of Love Academy to teach some of our youngest residents about the important work they do to keep the city safe. Our officers are dedicated to community outreach projects and building relationships with the citizens they serve.🚓 #AlvaradoTX

Look at our very own Critter-Getters! 🐶 😺 Our Animal Services Department stopped by the Public Library yesterday to demonstrate how they take care of our paw-some residents. 🐾 Whether they help lost animals find their way back home or stray animals find a fur-ever place to stay, these ladies make furry-tail endings a reality! 🏡 #AlvaradoTX

WINNER WINNER... cupcake dinner? 🎂 Two months ago, we released our very first e-newsletter called "The Bright Side," and it has been a hit in the Alvarado community! 📰 This Good News Newsletter recaps all of the exciting and heartwarming things that happened over the past month AND gives residents an upcoming events calendar for the next month. For the release of Vol. 2 of "The Bright Side," we challenged employees to answer a question that they would only know if they combed through our Good News Newsletter. 🎉 We had not one, not two, but THREE winners this month that earned special cupcakes from a local Alvarado bakery! 🎇 We're blessed to have a caring team that serves this community! Now THIS is what teamwork looks like! 😎 Yesterday, Alvarado got a visit from Jon M. Stigliano for a leadership training on different behavioral types. As we started the training with a group exercise, we got to see how different personality profiles come into play in everything we do. Today was a great reminder that each personality has its own strengths, and that when we work together, we can accomplish anything — even building a marshmallow and noodle tower! 🍝 #AlvaradoTX

Introducing our fabulous summer interns in 3...2...1! 🤩 Chris, Addie, Annie, Lucas, Terry, and Rachel have already added so much to the Alvarado family as they finish their second week serving a variety of departments. From Public Works and the Library to the Municipal Court and beyond, we can't wait to see all the amazing things they accomplish this summer. 🥳☀️ #AlvaradoTX #SummerInternships

Remember our pothole video? 🚧 Yes, THAT pothole video! 😂 Well, some other folks saw it too! Last week, Alvarado made a splash at the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) conference in San Antonio by winning a TAMI Award for Best Marketing PSA (Under 75k Residents) and an Award of Excellence for Best Use of Humor (Under 50k Residents)! 🏆 🥇 🥈 As a first-time entrant, we were recognized for our updated communications efforts about the "Fix the Dang Roads" Program AND that we did, in fact, do our own stunts! 😎 Congratulations to Communications Manager Mikaela Hall and Administrative Assistant Phillip Contreras for their work on this multi-award winning video! 🎬 Didn't get to see it the first time?
