This summer, Katie Holmes is interning with us at the Walk Bridge in Norwalk, Connecticut. Katie, a mechanical engineering student at the University of Maine in Orono, has been focusing on means and methods planning to support drilled shaft operations for the project's new bridge foundations. “What drew me to the Cianbro team was their tenacity towards safety. I have worked with Cianbro at other jobs, and I have always found it pleasant to work and learn from them. Beyond all of this, I knew this experience would be invaluable to my education,” shares Katie. Initially unfamiliar with infrastructure terminology, Katie has made significant strides in her understanding with the support of her fellow team members. She added, “I am eager to see the drawings of the bridge turn into reality as the summer goes on.” Thanks for joining our team, Katie. Best wishes for the remainder of your summer!
