This week, several of our foster care to permanency and education team members attended the Family Focused Treatment Association 38th National Conference in Denver, Colorado, to learn new and innovative strategies and approaches to assist youth and families. Aside from learning valuable new techniques and strategies, the team had the opportunity to take photos with the famous “Big Blue Bear” and a couple of them even ran into country music superstar Wynonna Judd! #CHS4Families #BigBlueBear

In every culture, storytelling plays a key role in how individuals communicate and connect. Last week in Banner Elk, a group of board members, adoptive parents, and new friends gathered in the NC mountains to share their own stories of the role of CHS in their lives. Though every story was unique, they all inspired and reminded us of the importance of family in a child’s life.
