  • WOW, last night was so much fun! Chicago Wilderness Alliance came together at the Field Museum Museum to celebrate Urban Rivers Rivers receiving the Parker Gentry Award. They are the first Chicago-based site to be recognized. We are all so proud of the work Urban Rivers Rivers has done to more than deserve this honor. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and positivity, and it was a fantastic opportunity to share in the joy and success of our partner. Moments like these allow us to celebrate our partners' wins and keep us all motivated; even on the hard days.

  • Last, but certainly not least we are honored to announce another new partner Monarchs, Milkweed, and More has joined the Alliance. We grow stronger together with each partner that joins us. Thank you for joining; we look forward to supporting your critical work! Monarchs, Milkweed, and More promotes native plantings to enhance habitats for monarchs and all wildlife through education, community programs, and collaboration. This work couldn't be more important with the decline of monarch populations as they await a final decision on being added to the federal endangered species list. As you plant your gardens this year remember to add milkweed and plant other native species! Learn more about Monarchs, Milkweed, and More: https://lnkd.in/gUkS93qK

Thank you for joining; we look forward to supporting your outstanding work! Trust for Public Land is a national nonprofit that works to connect everyone to the benefits and joys of the outdoors.
