With so much turmoil and uncertainty, the one thing we’re clear on is the need to continue our fight to secure paid leave for all, affordable child care, accessible aging and disability care, and good care jobs. Wondering how you can engage your elected officials to ensure that they take action on care? Look no further than our #CareVoterGuide, where you’ll find sample questions to ask your representatives and candidates, guidance on locating town halls and other events your elected officials may attend, and guidance on how to share your story with them. https://bit.ly/4cZJKbO

This #DisabilityPrideMonth, we are proud to highlight just a few of our organizational partners doing important work for disabled people across the country. We’re proud to partner with New Disabled South, Access Living, Detroit Disability Power, and California Foundation for Independent Living Centers to continue expanding care access for disabled people. If you aren’t already, please give these incredible organizations a follow so you can keep up with their work, too! This month and every month, we’re committed to continue fighting for a world in which everyone, but especially disabled people, have access to the care they need not only to survive, but to thrive.

In order to create a better care future for all, we must center disability, the people who experience and identify with it, and the wide range of supports they need to thrive. #DisabilityPrideMonth

👏🏽 IF IT'S NOT ACCESSIBLE IT'S NOT ACCEPTABLE 👏🏽 #DisabilityPrideMonth Reposted from @/liberaljane on IG ☁️ Busy daydreaming about an accessible future 🌙 * * Digital illustration of a disabled fat brown queer fem. She is seated in a mobility scooter and holding a picket sign that reads, 'if it's not accessible, it's not acceptable.' Her scooter is green and pink, and in the front basket is a white cat holding a fish.

Washington state’s long-term care benefit, called WA Cares, is a first-of-its-kind program that is absolutely essential not only for Washingtonians, but all of us across the country who will need to give and receive care at some point in our lives. A ballot initiative that will appear on Washington's November ballot, I-2124, seeks to bankrupt the program, taking this benefit away from working Washingtonians, worsening the care crisis impacting families everywhere. That’s why Caring Across Generations, our Executive Director Ai-jen Poo, and dozens of organizations across Washington state oppose I-2124. If you live in Washington, vote no on I-2124. The future of the care movement depends on it. #No2124 Learn more: www.noon2124.org

What does an accessible future look like? One where investments in home and community-based services allow disabled people to live independently and receive care when and where they want it. #DisabilityPrideMonth

We can’t get enough of ‘Take Me Home’! 🎬✨ This critically acclaimed short film has captured our hearts and we’re beyond excited to be working with the amazing Anna Sargent and talented Liz Sargent to amplify this important story. 💖 Anna’s story in 'Take Me Home' highlights real challenges faced by disabled people and caregivers, sharing an authentic and deeply moving story about care. Our recent screening at a White House event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Olmstead Decision was just the beginning as we kick off the exciting journey of adapting 'Take Me Home' into a feature film! #MoreCareonScreen
