Some of CapRelo's Marketing team visited the JK Community Farm yesterday. Together with JK Moving Services' they harvested over 1000 lbs. of fresh produce for the food insecure! The Farm is open to the public as a hub for volunteerism and food education. It's the nation’s largest chemical-free nonprofit farm in the country donating 100% of what they grow. 🌎 GLOBAL MOBILITY UPDATE: South Africa’s Ministry of Home Affairs extended the temporary concession for certain visa and waiver applications to Dec. 31, 2024. Under the previous extension, individuals with pending visa or waiver applications were permitted to stay in South Africa through June 30, 2024. Individuals with pending long-term visa, waiver and/or appeal applications are now permitted to remain through Dec. 31, 2024, and may travel provided they travel with proof of their pending application and confirmation of the prevailing concession according to The National Law Review. Kathy Connelly, COO of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, sheds light on these issues. ⤵ Nationwide, inventory shortages persist, leading to multiple offers, elevated prices, and potential future resale issues. Rising interest rates affect purchasing power, pushing some transferees towards rentals. This shift has resulted in substantial price increases due to high demand. These challenges impact relocation costs, triggering adjustments in benefits provided by companies. Certain geographic areas pose unique challenges. States like Texas, Florida, and Tennessee attract newcomers from higher-cost markets, exacerbating housing shortages. Sales trends vary regionally, with declines reported in parts of the South and West but gains in the Northeast. Additionally, The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) settled claims with home sellers about broker commissions, pending court approval.
