Does your business use road signs? They will soon be removed from roadways if they do not comply with Calvert County Government road signage regulations. Signs that do not comply with sign regulations will be removed by Department of Public Works Highway Maintenance staff and held at Appeal Landfill for two weeks. Signs may be reclaimed by the respective owner at $6 per sign. Any signs remaining after the two weeks will be permanently discarded. Those who repeatedly violate this will be fined $25 per sign. The Calvert County Board of County Commissioners encourages all residents and businesses to support this initiative by adhering to sign regulations listed in the Calvert County Zoning Ordinance to accommodate legal and safe placement. Calvert County is governed by a five-member board of county commissioners elected to four-year terms.
