Foundation Board Member Pamela Wells, Ed.D. joined campers this summer at Camp Adventure to explore pollination through sunflower dissection and create a pollination farm. She also dedicated time refilling the Julia C. Hester House Barbara's Book Box for all to enjoy! We appreciate her engagement in the community and are thrilled to have her on our Board of Directors, ensuring literacy for all!

According to The Public Library Association, regular library visits can boost a child’s love for reading by 18%. Thanks to the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, we’re making this a reality for the community at NHH Savoy. This past Saturday, NHH partnered with the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation (BBHLF) Young Professionals Group to stock and organize Savoy’s library with hundreds of new books, creating a welcoming space for 120 families. This new addition brings us to two family libraries, both made possible by the BBHLF, serving 307 households at NHH Reed and NHH Savoy. We are thankful for this partnership and the opportunity to expand literacy and education for all. #LiteracyForAll #BarbaraBushFoundation #NewHopeHousing #LiteracyMatters #LibraryResources
