Self-confidence - it's never too early to start growing it, and we couldn't value it more! A baby's sense of self-confidence lays the foundation for their overall emotional and social development. Confident babies are more likely to explore their environment, try new things, and develop a sense of independence - and contributes to better learning experiences and academic success in the future.

About us
BBELC has created a childcare in which every child is invited and encouraged to participate in our ever growing and diverse environment. We celebrate our differences and discoveries together as a close-knit family. Our classrooms welcome all developmental stages and we foster personalized instruction to ensure every child grows at their own individual level. We take great pride in our all encompassing learning environment starting at the infant level. Our components are seen through the eyes of the Enrichment Blocks as we have developed – library, physical education, Spanish / World Language, art, and music with more to follow. These additional classes, coupled with our curriculum, create a truly comprehensive approach to child’s development Through professional development and financial support, we have established a growing atmosphere for our teachers and staff. We take tremendous pleasure in knowing that we can help provide our teachers in the quest to further their education, and which in turn benefits the children’s academic success in the classroom. The importance of an excellent teacher, even at the earliest of ages is imperative in their developmental progress. “A great teacher, takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.”

Improved executive functioning skills, a stronger working memory, a wider cultural perspective - the benefits of multilingualism in young children are many. Kids are always listening; if residents in your home are fluent in more than one language, be sure to use them and expose these developing minds to all of these early advantages!

We were thrilled to gather for our Inclusion Summit this past week! After distributing an open invitation to everyone within our organization to join, team members representing our schools, leadership, and home office came together to discuss cultivating a more purposeful and deliberate culture of Inclusion. The first of many such meetings to come, we look forward to welcoming more passionate voices to the table as we consult with both one another and experts in the space about creating workspaces that perpetuate tolerance, acceptance, and empathy.

Thank you, City of Middletown, CT for organizing a wonderful Pride Parade this past weekend! We loved participating and greeting so many enthusiastic, welcoming, inclusive members of our community. We were also thrilled to see Senator Richard Blumenthal - thank you for taking a moment to speak with us! 🏳️🌈
