We were thrilled to gather for our Inclusion Summit this past week! After distributing an open invitation to everyone within our organization to join, team members representing our schools, leadership, and home office came together to discuss cultivating a more purposeful and deliberate culture of Inclusion. The first of many such meetings to come, we look forward to welcoming more passionate voices to the table as we consult with both one another and experts in the space about creating workspaces that perpetuate tolerance, acceptance, and empathy.

From a celebrity guest speaker to a range of inspiring activities, our people have got stuck into celebrating National Inclusion Week. But inclusion is an all-year round commitment, and one that we are supporting with the roll out of our Inclusion Strategy. Some of the outcomes from the strategy so far include: 💡 The launch of the EQUAL Champions Network, which comprises individuals from across the business who are committed to championing inclusion and diversity. 💡 The roll out of Inclusive Leadership training to many of our senior leaders, to help inclusion be prioritised at all levels. 💡 Inclusion and wellbeing roadshows across the business, to give all of our people the chance to join in the discussion no matter which site they work on. 💡 Ongoing focus groups, to help us understand the experiences of our people and ensure we continue striving to be the most inclusive employer we can be. I can't remember the exact example story shared by Yves Veulliet during Diversity Network's inclusion festival🎆 But the overall idea really stuck with me. Why not ask members of your employee resource groups to test your own products for accessibility and inclusion? Then you can go to your senior leaders with real stories about real people to advocate for building more accessible products? ✅ Senior leader engagement ✅ ERG engagement ✅ Better products

Today is day one of Construction Inclusion Week. Each day we will be discussing an essential component that builds inclusion and some of the events that are happening across our offices this week. Today we are recognizing the importance of commitment and accountability. To fully realize a culture of inclusion and belonging requires both leadership commitment and accountability to ourselves and others. Neither leadership nor accountability are top-down but rather shared responsibilities that each of us regardless of role, title or position can actively demonstrate. We must all be leaders, model the behavior we want to see in others and influence others towards the goal of a more inclusive society, and hold ourselves and others accountable to actions that help inspire and achieve that vision. #ConstructionInclusionWeek #DiversityandInclusion #InclusiveWorkplaces

This National Inclusion Week 2023, we are spotlighting the ways that as an organisation, we are removing barriers to foster an inclusive environment, as well as engaging and empowering our colleagues to be their authentic selves at work. At InHealth, inclusion in the workplace is about ensuring everyone feels valued and respected, and that they belong. Inclusion also requires all members of staff to play their part in making sure everyone feels valued as individuals. This may sound simple to some, but for others, there are barriers in place that mean they are less likely to be included or feel that they are. That's why we are asking our People Managers to make the Inclusive Leadership Pledge, committing to take action to create, change and innovate while balancing everybody's views and needs.
