Let's dig into this press release from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), "HHS Finalizes Rule to Curb Information Blocking in Health Care": HHS has implemented a rule to discourage information blocking by health care providers. Information blocking refers to deliberate actions that hinder the sharing or access of electronic health information, impeding its availability for patients and care teams. Key points include: - Purpose: Ensure patient and care team access to electronic health information (EHI). - Disincentives: Hospitals and clinicians committing information blocking may lose meaningful EHR user status. - Effective Date: The rule takes effect 30 days after publication. #HealthIT #Interoperability #CuresAct https://lnkd.in/gvUF34XE).

July is National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! It's a time to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by racial and ethnic minorities in the United States when it comes to mental health. In 2020, fewer than one in every two African American adults received care for mental health. Asian Americans were 60 percent less likely to receive mental health treatment than non-Hispanic Whites in 2018. Obstacles include lack of health insurance, limited access to treatment, and stigma. Mental illness affects people of all races and ethnicities. Let's show support by learning more about mental health and sharing resources to spread awareness in our communities and families. 💙 If you need immediate help, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. You can also chat at 988lifeline.org to speak with a trained crisis counselor. Remember, taking care of your mental health is essential for coping with stress and challenges. Reach out if you notice changes in yourself or a loved one. 🌿🌎 For more information, visit the official FDA page for Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. #MentalHealth #MentalHealthMatters #HealthEquity 🔗 https://lnkd.in/e5hx62WE
