Rising high school seniors had a blast at Envision U! At Santa Clara University, 10 Northeastern Ohio Scholars, along with over 50 others from different affiliates, spent the week exploring life at college and their future pathways. This was a great opportunity for them to learn networking skills, connect with professionals and fellow Scholars, and experience traveling away from home. Legacy Leaders, Mariah, Kenneth, and Patrick, joined in to offer their expertise along the way as BHGH alumni. About us
Boys Hope Girls Hope of Northeastern Ohio (BHGH) was founded in 1986 to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed in school and life. Our mission is to help academically capable and motivated children in need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and education through college. The young people we serve come from families affected by poverty, substance abuse, mental health issues, community violence and a lack of sufficient academic opportunity; BHGH of Northeastern Ohio currently serves 206 young people. BHGH shares a common mission with 14 U.S. and 3 Latin American cities and utilizes structured programming adapted to the needs of each community, unique curriculum, and partnerships with local schools and universities. Service ‘pathways’ include residential homes for up to 18 Scholars; intensive year-round, out-of-school time programming for 150+ community-based Scholars in 6th-12th grade; and post-secondary advising and scholarship support through career launch for 60+ Scholars who have graduated our program and are currently enrolled in College or other post-secondary certification program.

Young champions in the making 🏈 Middle school Scholars were very excited to step onto the field at the Cleveland Browns stadium! Rather than watching from the sidelines, Scholars spent the evening learning from Coach Stefanski and catching passes from Deshaun Watson during the Under the Lights football camp. 🌟 5 years of enrichment, impact, and hope 🌟 This week marks the 5th anniversary of the Rajan Center! 🏫 Built in 2019, this state-of-the-art building brings over 200 Scholars together throughout the year during academy programming. It is also home to spaces for holistic development and relationship building, including an innovation studio, art room, study nooks, and counseling areas.
