Youth Leadership : Beyond a Birthright On this Youth Day, I am reflecting on the privilege and challenge of being in a leadership position as a Youth. I am grateful for the belief my organization has in youth, yet acutely aware that my success or failure influences how others view young leaders. It's not just a title; it's a responsibility I carry for fellow youths. Dear fellow youth, let's move beyond entitlement and recognize that leadership is not a birthright. We need to earn it, proving ourselves through intellect, hard work and dedication. Let us #BeTheChange ,Believe in ourselves, work hard, and redefine what youth leadership means. #YouthDay #LeadershipJourney #Zambia #YouthDevelopment #BeTheChange

“Belonging” as a skill and competency for leadership, has been the pillar of my work for the past few decades. Working with leaders in various industries, at different levels and with numerous impact demands has taught us a few things along the way. What we have found is that it directly relates to Purpose, Leadership, Humanity, and Ethos. Belonging is NOT only for Community Leaders and Activists. It is NOT simply a DEI initiative. It is NOT a waste of time. BELONGING is harnessing the skills of our lived experiences, passions, values, and humanity. And learning to bring that to the leadership table. #BelongbyDawnChristian #BeLeadership #YouBelongHere #ThisisLeadership #LeadershipDevelopment #WhatsYourEDMS

2 LIFE LESSONS IN 10 YEARS One thing I never fail to do Is share with as many as I can, how direct mentorship for the last 10 years impacted my life tremendously. Under Mrs. Akunna Chukwuma-Mbele (MMCI), I learned many life lessons ranging from; life virtues to personal development to leadership and service, to mention a few. However, these two (2) stand out: 1. Never rest on your oars. 2. Continually improve yourself. This new week, I will throw more light on the above. #HappyNewWeek #ToLeadIsToServe #protegeeandmentorstory
