What's the big idea at 10 World Trade? It all comes back to the public realm! Sasaki's new 17-story life science building carves out a space for the public in Boston's Seaport. The building mass lifts up from the ground to create a great hall open day and night to the public. A sweeping public park bridges the project site, reaching from the building over the interstate highway and to the nearby Triangle Parcel. The robust public realm, much needed in Seaport, facilitates continuous circulation and spans a significant elevation change across the urban site. Last week, Suffolk Cares hosted high schoolers from Boston Public Schools, including Madison Park Technical Vocational High School, John D. O'Bryant School of Math and Science, Boston Day and Evening Academy, and Excel Academy Charter Schools, for a "Careers in Construction" Workshop at our headquarters. These students came into Suffolk every day of their February vacation to network and learn about Suffolk and career opportunities in the construction industry. They even got to visit and tour our 10 World Trade Center project in the Seaport.
