📈 Roughly $20 billion in non-dilutive funding is available across North America, but only 5% of businesses are taking advantage of it. 💸 Why are teams leaving this free cash on the table? 🔍 Because tapping into #innovation #capital like R&D tax credits or government #grants requires both technical expertise and the ability to navigate complex #tax code. ⏱️ That's not to mention compiling the wealth of payroll, workflow, and financial data across the organization, which can take 60 hours or more to do manually. At Boast, our #AI-driven platform helps our in-house #tech and tax experts streamline the process of capturing non-dilutive #capital for you. We turn what could be a 60-hour, cross-team commitment into a seamless, 5-hour process, taking on the heavy lifting in compiling your claim and even defending you in the event of an #audit. Reach out to our team today to learn more about what sets Boast apart from other #taxcredit providers and how we can maximize your access to the #ITCs you deserve. https://lnkd.in/dNphHfRD

🚀 Being an #entrepreneur is a tough gig, calling for deep reserves of passion, patience, and savvy to turn sparks of inspiration into powerful products and services. But if you’re an #immigrant entrepreneur, things are even trickier. You’re trying to make your #startup work in a market that you may not be totally familiar with while also lacking access to resources that may be readily available to local #entrepreneurs. Neil W. and the team at PORCH 💚 are on a mission to change that reality. Their goal is to help 1,000,000 immigrant entrepreneurs succeed in Canada and the US through #community, providing a curated, engaging, and safe place to build relationships, learn, and help each other grow. 🗓 CFOs and finance teams have been put through the ringer over the past few years. Not only are #interest rates continuing to make the “cost of capital" prohibitively high, but factors like global politics, #accounting #talent shortages, and the much-hyped rise of #AI have all upended conventional wisdom about what it takes to #scale a business in 2024. With the first half of the calendar year in the rearview mirror, it’s time to examine what’s in store for #finance leaders as they embark on H2 2024 and how they can start redrawing their #capitalstrategy through the lens of R&D. https://lnkd.in/eYx7HA-k

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, #STEM—that is, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics— jobs are expected to see demand grow by almost 11% in the United States by 2032. Another interesting stat for would-be STEM professionals? STEM salaries currently top $100,000 annual on average—more than double the average salary for non-STEM. While this is obviously a boon for job seekers, it’s also a worthy #investment for employers, who may be able to actually recoup a large share of the #payroll costs for STEM talent if they staff these roles strategically. We unpack the opportunity that this high demand opens for job seekers, why employers benefit from a robust and effective R&D organization, and how companies can build an R&D team that not only delivers on #innovation, but unlocks new avenues for #funding. https://lnkd.in/eKniQsEe

💸 Working with Boast for #SRED #taxcredits has saved Quin Sandler and the Plantiga team countless hours capturing a return on their investments through non-dilutive government #funding. A process that would typically span #tech, #finance, and #product teams is now handled by Boast, as we streamline the work of collecting critical data through our #AI and tech-enabled services. Like the innovative businesses we work with, Boast embraces #tech to make our work stronger and derive more significant outcomes. As Quin puts it, there's no limit to the upside you'll see with #data and AI, and you want to work with an R&D tax company that believes in that reality. Check out the full interview with Quin on the latest 🎙️What The Tech🎙️ #podcast here: https://lnkd.in/e2Ca9dWd

🏃 Quin Sandler and the team at Plantiga are on a mission to optimize human performance, resilience, and #recovery through the monitoring and analysis of #biomechanics — that is, a person’s unique movement patterns. The Plantiga platform combines an advanced #sensor insole that measures how a person moves to maximize their health, recovery, and performance. By combining #predictive #analytics and applied sports science, Plantiga supports hundreds of teams, trainers, and athletes in #sports and life. As impressive as that mission is at Plantiga, Quin’s experience in the Canadian #startup ecosystem is also extensive and mighty. On this episode of the 🎙 What The Tech 🎙 #podcast, we interview Quin about his work to date, his path to success, and what’s next for Plantiga. https://lnkd.in/e2Ca9dWd #wearables #taxcredits #research #development #sred

What an electric and amazing night. Thank you to Zoë Curnoe, Joshua Nilson, and Clea Arrieta for sharing their wisdom and insights on creating a brighter future for the Creative Tech Industry! I loved seeing founders and creators coming together to rebuild and explore. People believe in a brighter future for the industry and it starts with sharing knowledge, a refocus on more startup mentality, working together, and building more diverse, accountable leadership teams. The days of the "bro" culture are ending. People need to know the company has direction and a profitability plan. As Josh noted, If you keep seeing the same leaders at the table, BUILD A BIGGER TABLE. Create programs that people need. As Zoë mentioned, ASK. Listen to your team and build up with care, weaving your values and DEI goals through your teams. Huge thank you to Jennifer McPherson for doing an incredible job moderating and Kristina and William for organizing and ensuring our event went smoothly. Finally, a huge thank you to Boast for sponsoring and helping to make this important event possible. Stay tuned for more engaging conversations and community connections from rhum!
