Mining operations face a big challenge: how to handle the abrasive, pulpy leftovers (known as "tailings") created during ore processing. Traditional pumps struggle with this harsh mixture, but peristaltic pumps are up to the task. However, these pumps create pressure pulsations that can damage equipment. Our latest blog post explores how pulsation dampeners can be the solution, smoothing out flow and extending the life of your system. Check it out and learn how to keep your mining operations running smoothly! https://bit.ly/4cArrZP #BlacohIndustries #DontPumpWithoutUs #PumpComponents #FluidProcessSystem #PulsationDampener #PeristalticPump

In the field of fluid dynamics, two primary methods are employed to increase pressure levels: dynamic and positive displacement. Each method has distinct characteristics and applications. Dynamic Method: This approach first increases fluid velocity, which is then converted to pressure. Centrifugal compressors and pumps exemplify this method, utilizing the principle of centrifugal force to achieve pressure increases. Positive Displacement Method: In this method, a fixed volume of fluid is moved through the equipment, resulting in a pressure increase. However, this process can induce system vibrations due to the discontinuous nature of fluid movement. To mitigate the risk of vibration, #pulsation_dampener will be used. It's important to note that the need for a pulsation dampener is not always immediately apparent. For instance, screw compressors, which may appear to deliver a constant flow volume, often require pulsation dampers to mitigate system vibrations. Pulsation Dampener Working Principle: Pulsation dampeners are crucial components in positive displacement systems. They function by absorbing and smoothing out pressure fluctuations, thereby reducing vibrations and potential damage to the system. The basic principle involves: Gas-filled chamber: A typical pulsation dampener contains a chamber partially filled with inert gas, usually nitrogen. Flexible barrier: A diaphragm or bladder separates the gas from the process fluid. Pressure absorption: As pressure pulses occur, the gas compresses and expands, absorbing the energy of the pulses. Smoothing effect: This compression and expansion of gas helps to even out the pressure in the system, resulting in a more constant flow. Adjustability: Many pulsation dampers allow for adjustment of the gas pressure to optimize performance for specific operating conditions. By incorporating pulsation dampers, systems can achieve smoother operation, reduced wear on components, and improved overall efficiency. The working principals of pulsation dampeners is showed in this video by Blacoh Industries. The thumbnail picture is by North Ridge Pumps Ltd

Did you know that peristaltic pumps, while great for handling mining tailings, can actually create problems in your system? The pulsations they generate can lead to pressure spikes and equipment wear. But there's a fix! Our new blog post dives into how pulsation dampeners can absorb those pulsations and keep your flow smooth. Read on to learn how to optimize your mining operations. https://bit.ly/4cArrZP #BlacohIndustries #DontPumpWithoutUs #PumpComponents #FluidProcessSystem #PulsationDampener #PeristalticPump

Many of the filtration carts we build look similar, but each is tailored for its application. We recently built this one for a chemical manufacturer. While it may look like a cart we recently built for a paint manufacturer, there are many additional components. This cart was specifically designed to filter out particulate during the manufacturing process. We mounted an FTI (Filter Technology Incorporated) stainless-steel filter housing onto a fabricated cart built out of 2" stainless-steel square tubing mounted on top of 5" casters. The #2 filter housing was mounted at a 45-degree angle, lowering the top to assist in bag changes. We included BI-TORQ Valve Automation ball valves, Dixon Valve pressure gauges mounted to Blacoh Industries Sentinel gauge guards and Dixon Cam & Groove adapters. https://lnkd.in/g5FhakVr #AndersonProcess #IndustrialFilters #CustomFabrication #FiltrationCart
