A (100th) #MOSAIC Dream Come True for Art 🥳 What would your best day ever be? Would it be a day on the golf greens, meeting your favorite celebrity or sitting poolside? Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living asks every resident this very question, and connects with local businesses and people to make their dreams come true - this program is known as the MOSAIC Dreams program. In the years that the MOSAIC Dreams program has been around, Azura has had a resident dance at the halftime show with the Milwaukee Bucks Grand Dancers, fly in an airplane and a helicopter, golf with a world champ, and more! Azura Memory Care of Wausau’s resident, Arden (Art), celebrated his 100th birthday by getting out on the water for an afternoon of doing what he loves most - fishing! Azura’s MOSAIC dreams committee lined up a day for Art to enjoy on the water with his family and friends as he celebrated his 100th trip around the sun. Born and raised in Wausau and attending Wausau East High School, Art went on to serve in the United States Air Force during World War II. When Art returned home, he worked as a postal carrier in Wausau for over 40 years. In his 100 years on earth, Art has lived through some of our world’s most historic events; Amelia Earhart crossing the Atlantic, the building of the Empire State Building, the Holocaust, the discovery of DNA, and much more!

A #MOSAIC Dream Come True for Darrell 🎵 What would your best day ever be? Would it be a day on the golf greens, meeting your favorite celebrity or sitting poolside? Darrell, a resident at Azura of Beloit, was a YouTube sensation with his country music covers and still loves singing for our home today. Azura's MOSAIC dreams team arranged for Darrell to have his own karaoke machine and song book with lyrics to follow to he can perform a concert for our home whenever he likes! Darrell felt like a real rock star, and performed Band on the Run by Wings (and didn't even need the lyric book!)

Better together! Last week after our operations meeting, our Azura team took some time to bond at Luxe Golf Bays! Participating in these events help us grow closer, and in turn we're building a community that cares. #TeamBonding #AzuraFamily #StrongerTogether #WorkWithPurpose

Azura Memory Care and Assisted Living of Brookfield implemented a scholarship program last year for those who have had a personal experience with dementia and Alzheimer’s, or are planning to go into the geriatric field. We are so excited to announce our 2024 scholarship recipients! A grandma who passed away from Alzheimer’s continues to push our Brookfield East High School scholarship recipient to be the best person he can be. From grades to athletic accomplishments, he continues to build on her legacy in their family by living up to her example and pushing through obstacles "for Grandma." He will attend UW-LaCrosse in the fall. Congratulations to Joseph Guhl! Our Brookfield Central High School scholarship winner is Rishika Ghosh! Watching a beloved grandfather struggle with Alzheimer’s and meeting teenagers struggling with MS caused Rishika to commit to a career of helping cure these diseases in Neuroscience. While still in high school, she has fundraised, interned in a leading lab and conducted research to fight the devastating effects of Alzheimer’s and MS. She will attend University of Wisconsin-Madison in the fall. Congratulations to our winners, and best of luck on your future endeavors!🥳
