Asplundh recognized for diverse supply chain Amazon Business stopped by the Asplundh Home Office on May 22 to recognize the company with its 2023 Customer Supplier Diversity Award. The award was presented to Chief Procurement Officer Kurt Meiers (center) by Account Executive Vipin Duggal (left) and Head of Amazon Enterprise Business to Business Kendra Gustafson. The award was made to Asplundh for having the highest percentage of purchases from sellers with small or diverse business certifications with Amazon. “This recognition is a testament to your commitment to making a positive impact in the business community,” wrote Kendra in a letter to the Asplundh Procurement Services team that accompanied the award. “Your efforts in championing supplier diversity not only set a remarkable example but also contribute significantly to the betterment of our industry as a whole.” Asplundh has increased its focus on having a diverse supply chain over the past several years and formalized a Supplier Diversity Statement and Supplier Code of Conduct to make clear to suppliers its diverse procurement goals. In 2023, Asplundh increased spending with diverse suppliers by 15% over 2022, a sign of success for its efforts.
