In recognition of AAPI Heritage Month, Aspire Bakeries introduces you to our VP of Finance, Pei-Ching Ling.
With Aspire Bakeries for almost a year, Pei-Ching enjoys the challenges of a new role as they allow her to learn and grow, and notes, “Aspire Bakeries creates a very caring culture where I feel valued and supported by both the company and my colleagues.” When it comes to Aspire Bakeries foods, Pei-Ching can’t choose just one favorite! She loves the La Brea Bakery French Baguette after it’s been lightly toasted and the Olive Loaf, which has “just the perfect amount of olives to give it the right flair.”
As an immigrant from Taiwan who moved to the U.S. at the age of 10, Pei-Ching has a deep appreciation of the Chinese culture. “People are courteous and respectful of each other, especially for the elders. Children are taught filial piety and the value of hard work and education at a very young age. These values are instilled in me,” she says. “I valued education to help me learn the English language, secure my first job after college, and continue my professional advancement. And I always greet my mom’s friends as ‘Aunties’ and treat them with respect during visits.”
Thank you to Pei-Ching for helping to make us the best at what we do! #asianheritagemonth #asianamericapacificislanderheritagemonth
