Today is the official launch of Amplify Her Foundation! Tonight we’ll be celebrating at the Museum of the City of New York with special guest New York State Attorney General Letitia James, and honoring Tarana Burke, Founder of Me Too Movement, with the inaugural GlassBreaker Award for her tireless advocacy which launched a global movement. We’re also celebrating today’s release of “If She Can Make it Here”, our new research report on women’s and girls’ leadership in NYC. Esteemed leaders from The New York Women's Foundation, IDEO.org, and Women.NYC will join us for an interactive dialogue to discuss the findings. Researchers connected with over 1,000 women from across the boroughs for this comprehensive study, which identifies the barriers women face on their path to leadership, and interventions that help them meet their full leadership potential. Hear from a passionate high-school student from the Student Leadership Network, Dahna Tapia, who participated in our college exploration visit to USMA Westpoint. 📢 Dahna spoke to the media during her visit about what this experience means to her! This trip would not have been possible without the active support and leadership of Major Maia Molina-Schaefer who serves as Co-Chair of the Amplify Her Leadership Network (also featured in the news clip) and Colonel Julia Coxen who serves on the Amplify Her Board of Directors. We are so grateful for all your contributions, Maia and Julia! Through our Leadership Labs programming, Amplify Her Foundation aims to continue bringing enriching leadership opportunities and experiences for girls and women in New York City. #amplifyherfoundation #ifshecanmakeithere #womensleadership

A big thank you to our partners Student Leadership Network, Bella Abzug Leadership Institute, Seeds of Fortune Inc., and Girl Scouts of Greater New York, for recruiting these incredible students who got to explore state-of-the-art facilities, engage in a women’s leadership seminar, and experience hands-on activities like flight simulators and VR. From this cohort, three exceptional students were selected for the prestigious USMA Summer Leaders Experience: 🌟 Nina Afriyie - Student Leadership Network 🌟 Caroline Choi - Bella Abzug Leadership Institute 🌟 Jazmin Zamora - Student Leadership Network These future leaders will spend a week at West Point this summer, experiencing life as a cadet and further honing their leadership skills.
