Few days ago, a dozen Spanish media visited #ElectriCity, the #Ampere hub gathering three plants in the North of France. A unique industrial cluster dedicated to electric vehicles, with a best-in -class ecosystem spanning the entire value chain.
They discovered:
- Maubeuge plant which is preparing the production of the future R4, and produces the new generation of Kangoo, for Renault and its partners Nissan and Mercedes.
- Ruitz is home to the Minth Electricity Technology JV, which produces battery cases but also machining collections of pieces for Renault automatic gearboxes.
- Douai which went 100% electric a year ago with Megane E-Tech and is now starting to produce Scenic, Car of The Year 2024. They had a sneak-peak of the production of #R5, as the first pre-series can be seen on the lines, preparing sales for next fall.
This tour was a great opportunity to show how connected and agile ElectriCity is, working to be as competitive as factories in Eastern Europe by 2025 with 400,000 electric vehicles, the achievement of net zero carbon and the constantly drive down costs.
