Supporting Brain Health, One Patient at a Time! On July 22nd, we honor #WorldBrainDay, a day dedicated to raising awareness about brain health and neurological disorders. At Alluvion Health, we believe in whole-person, whole-life care, which includes understanding and addressing the complexities of brain health. Below are some ways you can keep your brain healthy and sharp: 🧠 Physical activity: Being physically active can help keep your brain healthy. 🛏️ Sleep: Getting enough sleep helps clear abnormal proteins from your brain and consolidates memories. 📚 Mental activity: Keep your mind engaged with activities like reading, playing cards, crossword puzzles, or jigsaw puzzles. 👫 Social connections: Good social connections and staying engaged with social activities can help keep your brain healthy. 🍎 Healthy lifestyle: Eat healthy foods, maintain a healthy weight, manage your blood sugar and blood pressure, and limit alcohol to no more than one drink a day. 🛡️ Protect your brain: Wear a helmet when biking, skiing, or riding a motorcycle, and be careful on uneven ground or ladders to avoid falls. ☮️ Stress management: Find healthy ways to manage stress, like taking a bath before bed, spending time with a pet, or working with a therapist to learn mindfulness. Let's create a healthier, more informed community together. #BrainHealth #Neurology #AlluvionHealth #HealthcareInnovation #MentalHealthMatters #CommunityHealth
