All American Leadership aims to align with and create a platform comprised of proven, passionate leaders of character, all committed to the same overarching purpose: “To inspire, empower, and challenge leaders to build and sustain elite cultures.” In looking at the unique makeup of our team: successful academic, military and business leaders, one common thread courses through all of our veins – a deep and abiding passion to make a positive difference and effect transformational change with all of the businesses and individual leaders whose lives we touch. In some ways we are like consultants, in that we dig deep to fully understand what our clients are working to accomplish. We take the time to understand their objectives, their challenges and priorities. We work to develop concrete strategies to achieve those objectives and address their challenges. But then we do something different…we get down in the trenches, roll up our sleeves and work with them, on site – in the conference room, on the plant floor, wherever the work happens, to build better leaders and stronger cultures. In some ways we are coaches and mentors, challenging individuals to dig deep inside themselves to achieve real and lasting personal growth and competence. We share our own experiences and best practices, and like the best coaches, we are emotionally invested in the continued success of those we work with, urging them to commit the same emotional energy in their own growth. Do you have a Culture Killer in your midst? A team member who is holding back your organization from building an Elite culture? There are some subtle signs of a culture killer: 1. Bad behavior. Saying they agree with and buy into the mission and strategies of your company when their actions are completely opposite. 2. Whispering in the corner with other employees rather than openly discussing or confronting problems. 3. Poor behavior during meetings, i.e. inattention, constant phone/computer checking, window gazing. 4. Poor body language and facial expressions. 5. Making light of, trivializing, or outright criticizing the mission and goals of other executives. 6. Negative tones of voice or constant use of negative words. 7.
