Our December 2023 Employee Spotlight goes out to The Super Men! There is over 125 years of combined experience in grading, paving, and milling between Bill Toops, Jim Hill, Boomer Clark, and Brad Culwell. These guys are excellent leaders, operators, and troubleshooters. They are the first to arrive and the last to leave. We are lucky to have such an incredible group of men leading our paving division to yet another successful year. Here's to The Super Men!

Since 2014, Leslie has been instrumental in assisting clients with billings and accounts receivable. Her friendly and professional attitude has helped her excel when working with our customers and employees. She is the model of thoroughness and accuracy at AJ and strives to be the best in her job everyday. We appreciate your efforts, Leslie, and thank you for being such a great employee to us!

October's Employee Spotlight goes out to Richard Jones, a Class A CDL driver and our milling crew's primary hauler! Richard took a 9-month hiatus to do OTR hauling and returned to become our primary hauler for milling. He has an impeccable driving record, shows up every day on time, and comes to work with a can-do attitude. Thanks for being a great asset to us, Richard!

Reynaldo "Rey" Serrano has been with AJ since 2016, bringing much talent and experience in concrete. Rey is a great all-around worker, excellent in rebar work, carpentry, and finishing. He also brings leadership skills when asked to be the lead man on certain jobs if needed. Rey has solidified himself as a great asset to our concrete division as it continues to grow in skill set and size. Congrats, Rey and keep up the hard work!

Yesterday marked the end of the summer internship for Lauren Fournier at AJ Asphalt. As our summer intern, Lauren made significant contributions to our sales reporting, financial reporting and analysis, social media marketing and website content. She also served as the Project Manager for the development and implementation of a new bidding system. We appreciate Lauren’s contributions this summer, and look forward to working with her remotely when she is back at school. Best of luck and success at Miami University this year! 

Brian Harvey, Lute Man and Pave Operator, has been with AJ since 2008. After 7 years, Brian was named full time paver operator for the P-31 crew. He has developed an excellent team chemistry with his crew, providing AJ with great work. Congrats, Brian and keep up the good work!
