  • Our Adams team traveled down to the Lexington plant this morning, to facilitate the data collection and photograph the final product for each of the Custer County 4-H members’ carcass contest projects! We are excited to provide the data and photos back to the 4-H members so they can see the final results from their hard work. We’re incredibly proud to help sponsor the 4-H Carcass Contest and help our local youth learn about producing high-quality beef!

  • It’s #WeAreAdams Wednesday again! Take a moment to get to know our Bunk Reader, Alix Smith! Alix Smith With Adams 3 years Hometown: Casper, Wyoming What do you do at Adams? As a Bunk Reader, it’s my responsibility to look at the bunks ahead of the feed trucks and determine how to alter the feed each pen gets on the yard. I also monitor the evenness of feeding and assist with the feed truck drivers or other areas, as needed. What has been your most rewarding or proudest moment since you joined Adams? The most rewarding thing has been becoming a “go-to” person for different departments. People can come to me with questions and we know the day will continue to run smoothly even when supervisors or managers are not available.

  • Last week, our Cattle Procurement team hosted Lunch & Learns for our employees, where they shared the history of cattle auctions, the basics of establishing purchase prices, what our buyers look for when purchasing feeders and attendees were able to participate in a mock auction.  A huge thanks to Dean, Skylar, Desirei, and Troy for sharing their knowledge!   Here at Adams, we host Lunch and Learns throughout the year on different topics, presented to the company by an Adams employee or team.

  • At Adams, we have a passion for animal wellbeing as well as quality assurance for consumers. We ❤️ sharing this knowledge and commitment with the community and area youth. We partnered up with Nebraska Extension in Custer County and held our 11th Annual Youth Animal Quality Assurance Training for over 160 4-H and FFA kids. We were honored to have Jesse Fulton, Director of Nebraska Beef Quality Assurance, join the training to share the importance of good character, ethics and humane treatment of animals. A big thank you to our sponsors and volunteers: Dr. Deanna Hardee and Kyle Key from Merck Animal Health, Boehringer Ingelheim, and the many ALCC and NE Extension employees who helped make the day a success!

  • We kicked off summer with some torrential rain, hail and a whole lot of fun with our annual BBQ for our employees and their families. The evening included a pedal tractor pull for all ages, great music, toxic meltdown, bounce houses, BINGO, axe throwing, beef brisket sandwiches and all the snow cones your heart desired! #WeAreADAMS
