Activity in Downtown Cincinnati is bouncing back trending upward! Parking and higher sales at numerous bars & restaurants suggest an increase in foot traffic as the city recovers after several difficult years following the pandemic. In fact, the numbers show that parking revenues, as well as the number of cars utilizing downtown garages, have officially surpassed pre-pandemic levels. More workers are returning to the office and downtown’s restaurant and entertainment options are better than ever, drawing more people to visit the Queen City! Interested in learning more about our team? Keep reading for June's Employee Spotlight! ⭐ Meet Daniel Lancaster 👋 Title: Senior Recruiter How long you’ve been with 3CDC: 3 years What brought you here? I was born and raised in Austin, TX. I've also in Denver and Chicago and now I am flourishing here in Cincinnati. I was working at the Museum of Science and Industry - Chicago as basically Bill Nye the Science Guy. I was an informal science educator who made science fun and wore a silly lab coat, gave coal mine tours, and showcased vortex shows. While I was there, I learned a lot about HR. Museums are interesting places! At the start of the pandemic, my ex and I were looking for a smaller, yet similar city and Cincinnati was on my list. An old co-worker, Anjylla Foster, Ph.D., previously worked for 3CDC and spoke highly of the company. She told me to apply and introduced me to some of the team, and I began as a Site Supervisor at Memorial Hall What keeps you here? This is my favorite job I have ever held. I really love what I do. I get to run around the city talking to and hiring everyone from accountants to bartenders and more. I also really appreciate that we are a fair-chance company. I am passionate about finding talent that often gets overlooked and helping to connect everyone to the awesome job resources we have here in Cincinnati. First job ever?: I was a cashier at Jack Brown dry cleaners! What are some of your hobbies? Improv, theatre, puzzles, dancing, gaming and being a generally artsy weirdo. What's your inspiration?: I have developed a strong network of people that's always there when I need them. I've been through a lot and I've learned if trauma is processed correctly, it can be resilience. What is your favorite movie? Beetlejuice Favorite/Go-to place to enjoy yourself in OTR? Level One Bar, Bar 901, and Main Event Cincinnati Fun fact: Daniel's parents were Texas lobbyists and his great uncle, Jake Pickle was a U.S congressman in for 30+ years. During his campaign, he'd give supporters squeaky pickles! Check out the photo of the late Mr. Pickle giving Coretta Scott King a squeaky pickle!

The fact that revenues increased and were not diluted by the increase in the number of spaces indicates "there are more parkers in (Downtown) garages than there were pre-pandemic,'' said Joe Rudemiller, a 3CDC spokesman. "We look at the numbers, and we feel like it tells a pretty compelling story,'' Rudemiller added. #cincinnati #pandemic #downtown

We're a few months into the conversion of the former Saks Fifth Avenue into a mix-use hub that will hold office, retail, and restaurant spaces to compliment the new headquarters of Paycor. We're proud to work in partnership with Turner Construction Company & 3CDC to revitalize this 80 ,000-square-foot staple on 5th Street that's perfectly primed to strengthen the connection between Fountain Square and the Convention District!

Formerly located on 12th Street in Over-the-Rhine (OTR), self-taught hairstylist Amber Nixon recently relocated her salon, The Loc and Braid Bar, to a 600-square-foot space in 3CDC’s Keyer Row development. Now situated at 1239 Main Street, the salon is actively booking appointments for a range of services including locs, braids, cuts, color, extensions, barbering and more! In addition to herself, Nixon also employs a licensed cosmetologist and barber cosmetologist to ensure the salon can provide a variety of services to clients. The Loc & Braid bar strives to deliver an experience that feels like a true day off. Clients simply have to show up and Nixon and her staff will do the rest. Depending on the service, clients can count on 2-3 hours of pampering. The Loc & Braid Bar caters to both children and adults, offering appointments at https://lnkd.in/ge_BfHWP. While appointments are strongly encouraged, walk-ins are also welcome based on availability. The salon is open Monday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM and is closed on Sunday. Read the full pressrelease here: https://lnkd.in/gfzq58_P Welcome to the neighborhood, Amber! 🫶

Four years after rolling out her online boutique clothing and accessory business, owner Sophia Blasi celebrated the grand opening of Urban Luxe in its first brick-and-mortar location at 1515 Vine Street in Over-the-Rhine. The 660-square-foot space will be home to the retailer as a six-month pop up – and potentially for the long term. “I grew Urban Luxe via social media – mainly by posting on Instagram,” Blasi said. “I was consistent in posting, started gaining more and more followers and compiled a good list of contacts over time. Eventually, the business outgrew my apartment, and I started selling out of a warehouse in Hamilton.” Having lived in the area, Blasi has spent a good deal of time visiting OTR over the last several years and has witnessed the growth in the neighborhood firsthand. She felt like Urban Luxe aligned perfectly with the customer base in the area and dreamt of having her own spot on Vine Street. Although the store remains heavily online-based, she wanted to have something special in Cincinnati where customers could come in and see her products in person. Blasi’s new space is bright and airy, decorated with both neutrals and pops of color. Urban Luxe features ‘uptown meets downtown’ styles for young professionals ranging from luxury items to casual streetwear options sourced from a number of vendors out of Los Angeles and New York City. The store is open Tuesday through Thursday from 12 – 5 PM, Friday 12-6 PM, Saturday 11 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 11 AM to 3 PM and is closed on Monday.
