Minuteman Milestones – 60 Years: On 9 June 1964, the first Minuteman missile arrived at F. E. Warren AFB via railcar. Three days later, the Army Corps of Engineers completed the 200th Minuteman missile site, this one near Chugwater, Wyoming. This was a momentous week for both the base and the Cheyenne community as these developments ensured the area’s critical role in defense of the nation.
