I think the size if the company also matters. SMEs may not have an established CSR programs, but are keen to get involved and support their community. They often look for partners that help organize events with multiple NPOs. Their point person might be within HR. They will typically start with local team events and once comfortable may want to start to offer skills-based opportunities. "CSR" should not only benefit the large corporates, but also the medium enterprises (say around 500 - 2000 employees) and external partners can manage the external CSR activities. Internal comms clearly has to be done by themselves.
