Phase I definition

Phase I means the first part of the tuition incentive assistance program defined as the academic period of 80 semester or 120 term credits, or less, leading to an associate degree or certificate.
Phase I has the meaning set forth in Section 5.01(w).
Phase I means a human clinical trial of a Licensed Product, including the initial introduction into humans, the principal purpose of which is to obtain sufficient information about the Product’s pharmacokinetics and pharmacological effects to permit the design of further clinical trials, and be generally consistent with 21 CFR § 312.21(a). Said trial may be conducted in any country.

Examples of Phase I in a sentence

  • At its option and expense, Buyer may have a Phase I Environmental Assessment, and such other environmental studies and asbestos surveys as Buyer deems necessary (the “Environmental Report”), prepared for the Property by licensed and certified environmental engineers of Buyer’s choosing.

  • Purchaser may, at Purchaser’s sole cost and expense and within the Due Diligence Period, obtain a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (“Phase I”) prepared by an independent environmental consulting firm engaged by Purchaser.

  • In the event the Phase I shows any objectionable environmental conditions, as determined in Purchaser’s sole discretion, Purchaser may, at its option, order a Phase II Environmental Site Assessment or other inspections or test to determine the extent of the environmental conditions and any work required to remedy such conditions.


More Definitions of Phase I

Phase I shall have the meaning set forth in Section 6.3.2.
Phase I means human clinical trials, the principal purpose of which is the preliminary evaluation of safety in healthy individuals as more fully defined in 21 C.F.R. §312.21(a) or similar clinical study in a country other than the United States. An initial study in patients where the primary purpose is the preliminary evaluation of safety will be considered a Phase I study.
Phase I environmental assessment of a Mortgaged Property prepared by an Independent Person who regularly conducts environmental assessments and who has any necessary license(s) required by applicable law and has five years experience in conducting environmental assessments.
