Woman’s car stolen after she was knocked unconscious by man in Bellmead

BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) - Keshawn Donnell Mims and Kianah Dismuke, 17, are both charged with robbery after they assaulted a woman and stole her car, arrest warrants state.

On July 5, police in Bellmead responded to the 1200 block of Maxfield when a woman called 911 to report her car was stolen after she was beat up by a group of individuals.

The victim told officers she was in her vehicle with three other people, among them Mims and Dismuke. According to the warrants, Mims was in the driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle and Dismuke was in the passenger seat. The victim was in the backseat with another individual not identified in the warrants.

Dismuke began yelling and assaulting the victim, the warrants state, and when the victim fought back, Mims punched the victim in the face, knocking her unconscious.

The victim said she woke up on the side of the road near a church and realized her vehicle and belongings, including her purse and phone, were gone. She walked to a nearby residence to ask for help calling 911.

Police contacted the owner of the stolen vehicle, the victim’s mother, who alerted police to the location of the vehicle by tracking her daughter’s cell phone.

Waco police officers got involved when the vehicle was tracked to a residence in the 600 block of Turner Street. The officers spoke with both Dismuke and Mims, and Dismuke admitted to getting into a fight with the victim inside the car, the warrants state. Dismuke also told the officers Mims drove away in the stolen car after he knocked the victim out, the warrants further allege.

Police wrote in the documents that Dismuke further revealed Mims and a friend planned to keep the stolen car. At the time she was arrested, Dismuke was wearing shoes belonging to the victim’s mother that had been left behind in the stolen car. The victim’s wallet was also found inside Dismuke’s purse, police said.

Mims and Dismuke were arrested on July 5. Mims has since bonded out of jail. Dismuke remains jailed on a $7,000 bond.
