Lloyd was booked into the McLennan County Jail on July 8. He is charged with evading arrest or detention ( w/previous conviction), assault/strangulation, two counts of continuous violence against the family, burglary of a habitation with intent to commit an assault, theft over $2,500 under $30,000, and assault of a pregnant woman.

According to the arrest warrants, on April 1, 2024, Lloyd forcibly entered his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in the 1100 block of N. 6th Street in Waco and assaulted the woman.

Lloyd took aways the victim’s cell phone so that she would not call 911 for help, then proceeded to assault her by “stomping on her feet, and hitting her in the back, face and head,” the warrants state. Police documented the victim’s injuries with photos.

According to the court documents, Morris had previously assault the same woman on March 17, 2024. The victim called police to report that Lloyd assaulted her during an argument outside her apartment unit. At that time, however, the victim declined to provide a written statement to police. She was contacted by investigators ten days later and once again said she did not wish to provide a statement, court documents state.

SEPTEMBER 2023 ASSAULT

At the time of the assaults in March and April 2024, according to the documents, Lloyd was already wanted for assaulting the mother of his children on Sept. 26, 2023.

In that case, the victim brought over their two children to Lloyd’s apartment in the 1100 block of N. 6th Street because she had no one to take care of them. Lloyd and the woman argued because he did not want to take care of the kids, police wrote in the warrant.

Lloyd grabbed one of the children by the arms and the child began to cry, the warrant states. This upset the mother, who told Lloyd she was going to take the children and go back home. As the children ran back into their car, Lloyd and the woman continued to argue and Lloyd grabbed the woman by the hair and began choking her, the warrant states.

Lloyd then punched the woman in the head and the face, and when she attempted to call 911, Lloyd took away her phone, an arrest warrant alleges. The woman was eventually able to get away and call for help. A person inside the car with the children witnessed the assault, police said.
