One critically injured in fiery wreck in Axtell
AXTELL, Texas (KWTX) - One person is in critical condition after a fiery wreck involving a pickup and a car.
Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to the crash on US-84 near Native Oaks Drive at approximately 8:00 p.m. on July 3.
DPS said the driver of a passenger car entered the intersection from Native Oaks Drive, failing to yield the right of way to the driver of a pickup traveling on US-84.
The truck crashed into the car, causing the car to become engulfed in flames.
One person riding in the pickup was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Another was also sent to the hospital for treatment of a “possible injury,” DPS said.
Four people riding in the car suffered “possible” injuries, DPS said.
