Kent, Sorrell and Lamkin returning to A&M baseball after withdrawing from portal

Trio of Aggies withdraw from the portal, return to A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - Texas A&M infielder Kaeden Kent and outfielder Caden Sorrell and pitcher Justin Lamkin announced on their social media accounts Wednesday that they’re returning to the Aggies.

Kent started 24 games as a sophomore. He logged 23 runs on 36 hits with 28 RBI and four home runs.

Arguably his biggest hit came against Oregon in game two of the super regional when he had five RBI and a grand slam.

Kent was also named to the College World Series All-Tournament team along with Evan Aschenbeck.

Sorrell started 48 games in left field for the Aggies as a true freshman. He had 50 hits and 43 RBI with 11 home runs in his freshman campaign.

He was also named to the All-SEC Freshman team.

Justin Lamkin is also running it back with the Aggies. As a sophomore he had a 5.21 ERA and started 16 games for A&M.

The lefty also logged 15 strikeouts in two games against the Gators in Omaha.
