ELM MOTT, Texas (KWTX) - To raise money for the Bosqueville Bass Fishing club members are selling fireworks in Elm Mott and China Spring.

Last year the club was made up of four teams, and now they have 8, including a new two person all girls team.

Sixth grader Abby Bolt says they have seen success with previous all girls teams, and hope to win their competitions

“Whenever the boys did it, the second-place team was a girls team so I think we can do that too, so I’m very excited,” Bolt said.

President of the club Hunter Edwards says that he’s happy to see the growth of the club and says the fireworks stands can help them raise money all while connecting with locals in their area.

“We doubled in the size what’s not to love, get our name out there get Bosqueville out there fishing, maybe one day we will dominate the sport in high school fishing,” Edwards said.

The fishing club is selling fireworks at two locations.

The China Spring stand is at 12739 China Spring Rd, next to Mikes Fireworks.

The Elm Mott location is the first stand near the Cowboy Truck Stop off I-35′s exit 343 in Elm Mott.

The stands will be open daily until 10 p.m. and will continue to sell until July 4th from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
