WACO, Texas (KWTX) - Since 1992, a Chapman’s led the university boys soccer team, but now it’s time for a new chapter.

For most of those years, Mike Chapman coached the Trojans but after he died unexpectedly, his brother Kyle took over.

Kyle Chapman’s coached the University boys soccer team for the last four years, but he is stepping away from the position. Kyle said this is a hard decision, but it’s time for a new chapter.

University soccer graduated 21 seniors this spring. The Trojans just won district and went four rounds deep in the playoffs. Those reasons made Kyle feel like it was the right time to step away.

Although he is leaving the soccer program, he will remain with University coaching as an assistant for football and baseball.
