AUSTIN, Texas (KWTX) - The number one most wanted undocumented immigrant on the Texas DPS Most Wanted Undocumented Immigrants list has been arrested over one week after Gov. Greg Abbot launched the list.

Victor Hugo Chox Gonzalez, 38, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Gonzalez’s criminal history dates back to 2016 when he was convicted of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 and assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

Later that same year, Texas DPS says Gonzalez was removed from the U.S.

In 2021, Gonzalez was arrested in Tarrant County for assault and failure to identify/giving false information and bonded out of jail.

Later in 2021, arrest warrants for Gonzalez were issued out of Tarrant County for his failure to identify/giving false information and failure to identify as a fugitive.

In 2023, the Arlington Police Department issued warrants for Gonzalez’s arrest for aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Texas DPS special agents arrested Gonzalez in Fort Worth on June 13 and booked him into the Tarrant County Jail.
