(KWTX) - Here’s this week’s Restaurant Report Card for Central Texas:

Waco Food Mart at 1620 South 18th Street in Waco failed a re-inspection with an 85.

According to the food safety worker, the ice shoot on the soda machine and the shelves in the reach-in cooler were soiled with old, encrusted pink, white, and black substances.

It needed to be cleaned.

There were several flying insects throughout the facility.

The two employees who were there during the inspection did not have food handler cards, and according to the report, the manager in charge didn’t have any knowledge of the proper certification regarding cleanliness and sanitation.

These were repeat violations.

Gholson Country Store at 13097 Gholson Road in Gholson failed a routine inspection with a 91.

According to the food safety worker, the business needed to throw out all the food that was affected by rodent droppings.

They were seen throughout the store, on the floors, and the shelves.

This place needed a good cleaning and an exterminator.

It also needed to patch holes where the rodents were getting in.

China Spring Mart at 12815 China Spring Road in China Spring failed a reinspection with a 92.

According to the food safety worker, rodent droppings were a problem here as well.

The business needed to dump all the food from the shelves, floor, and in the walk-in cooler affected by this.

It also needed to clean that up and get an exterminator.

It had entry points to patch, so the critters stay out.

All of these businesses needed reinspection.

And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Flavor on 35 at 202 North Frontage Road in Lorena.
