KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - After opening up the school’s football program, Chaparral head football coach Alan Haire is leaving Killeen to become the head coach for Jarrell High School, Haire confirmed with KWTX.
Haire was named the very first head coach of Chaparral in 2022 when the school launched their football program. He led the Bobcats to four wins in two seasons, as he managed to triple Chaparral’s 2022 win total in 2023 while competing at the 5A level.
He previously had a stop at Salado High School, where he led the Eagles to a 4A Regional Finals appearance and five playoff berths in just six seasons.
Haire will take over a Jarrell program, a 4A school, that finished with a 3-8 record in 2023.
