COPPERAS COVE, Texas - This week’s Be Remarkable takes us out to Kindred Spirit Ranch in Copperas Cove, where a wonder woman and her four-legged friends are changing the lives of service members and kiddos needing a boost.

“Rebecca makes it possible for kids and veterans to have service dogs - and she does it at no cost to them. It’s just fast. And that’s what you can’t get if you go with one of the bigger national organizations. It usually costs about $8,500 and the families have to fundraise it, and they’re usually on a waiting list for 5 to 10 years,” Janie Zuber, Nominator

Rebecca Clayton runs a nonprofit organization called Liberty for All, Service Dogs. She provides trained service dogs free of charge to both veterans and civilians. Her work is especially essential for children in the local area who would otherwise be waiting 5-10 years for a service dog and have to raise $5000-10000 to support their match. Rebecca’s service is 100% cost free, and it also appears to be the product of divine inspiration.

“God laid it on my heart that I needed to do something further, to do something for other people that cannot afford it. Because even at that time I was helping another person with their service dog, and she couldn’t afford other people because of the amount of money,” Rebecca Clayton, Be Remarkable Winner.

Her work reaches far and wide, as she recently matched a 15-year-old girl with severe PTSD to a dog the next day, after she had applied to the program. In another recent case this year, she matched an adolescent boy with degenerative disease who will not have the time to wait years to a service dog within a few weeks.

This remarkable work was acknowledged by the good folks at Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.

“You are just such a light, and you love these animals and you love your people so well. And you are to be remarked about like one of our core values that Daniel Stark is to be remarkable, and you are remarkable. You are doing a remarkable thing for your community, for the kids, for veterans, all of it. And we can’t thank you enough,” Linda McMillan, Daniel Stark Injury Lawyers.
