Earl Alford

Mr. Earl Alford of Marlin, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 in Temple, Texas. Funeral services for Mr. Alford will be held Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Marlin, Texas. Viewing will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home, Marlin, Texas.

Earl Alford was born to the parentage of Mr. Lelve Alford, Sr., and Mrs. Lucille Killebrew Alford in Robertson County.

He attended the Calvert Colored High School, but instead of enrolling in high school in his senior year, he enlisted in the Navy. He later obtained his high school diploma by taking GED classes in Dallas, Texas. He worked for Sears in Dallas, Texas and for the Dallas Housing Authority. His final job was with Marlin Transit Company.

He leaves to cherish his memory a special nephew, Garry Alford, three nephews, Kenneth Alford (Gayle), Willie Earl Flemings (Crystal), Charles Kenneth Flemings (Valerie) ; three nieces; Winstonia Pleasant, DeAngela Johnson, Sanya K. Peterson and Linda Dale Lacey; two sisters, Nancy Flemings and Minnie Ola Redmon; one sister-in-law, Genetha Lacey Alford and a host of relatives and friends.

Paul Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
