BELTON, Texas (KWTX) - An eclipse themed Market Days event was held in Belton on Saturday and included in the city’s Solarbration ahead of the total solar eclipse.

Market Days is an event held three times a year in Belton, and with this one being so close to the eclipse, it was included in the city’s Solarbration event.

Many of the vendors at the event found ways to incorporate the eclipse into their food and merchandise.

KWTX spoke with local business owner Leila Valchar, who helps plan the Market Days event each year, about how the event has grown over the past few years.

”It has grown so big that we don’t do it monthly anymore,” Valchar said. “I don’t even have to try to get vendors, they want to get in here.”

Anyone that wasn’t able to make it to Market Days on Saturday will still have plenty to do in Belton ahead of the eclipse.
