(KWTX) - Here is this week’s restaurant report card for Central Texas:

Eagles Landing Restaurant & Grill at 111 West 3rd Street in Bruceville-Eddy failed a renewal inspection with a 78.

According to the food safety worker, cooked baked potatoes were left at room temperature for more than 4 hours, some from the previous day were not kept at the correct temperature, and a container of chocolate pudding was kept past the proper date.

These were all thrown out.

Some raw chicken was stored above the ground beef and raw shell eggs above the lunchmeat.

There was dust accumulating on the ceiling that needed to be cleaned in the kitchen.

Baskin Robbins at 1616 Wooded Acres Drive in Waco failed a renewal inspection with an 87.

According to the food safety worker, the cappuccino mix and cut strawberries in syrup were not held at the right temperature for an unknown amount of time.

Those items were thrown out.

There was no certified food manager on-site while the food was being prepared.

Pollo Regio at 697 North IH-35 in Bellmead failed a renewal inspection with a 90.

According to the food safety worker, the cooked asada, cooked pastor, and multiple containers of cooked green sauce were not kept at the right temperature inside the cooler.

The outdated items were thrown out.

There were other foods not kept at the right temperature, though they were salvageable such as the Pico de Gallo, guacamole, and chopped cabbage.

Also, there was chicken soup on the stove that was not kept at the right temperature.

An employee reheated it.

All these restaurants needed reinspection.

And this week’s Clean Plate award goes to Dave’s Burger Barn at 600 North Patricia Street in Lacy Lakeview.

According to its website, you can get quality burgers and shakes.

This place’s claim to fame is the Zipper Ripper.

The challenge is to eat a burger with 5 patties, 5 pieces of bacon, 5 slices of cheese, eat a pound of fries and finish your drink in 12 minutes.

No problem...
